Graston Technique for Soft Tissue Injury

Graston tools and golf ball
Trauma to the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and ligaments), such as a strained ligament or a pulled muscle, has usually been treated with massage, electrotherapy or pressure point therapy. The Graston Technique is a new form of therapy which uses a set of six stainless steel tools which are designed to help mobilise, stretch and release restricted tissue, and breakdown scar tissue. The tools are used on the skin with a lubricant over the area to be treated, and used in different directions to work over the grain of the tissue. The restricted tissue will feel like sand as the tool goes over the tissue and will give a vibratory feel through the tool which cannot be felt through the hands alone. The tools are contoured to allow for treatment on different areas of the body.
We are pleased to offer the Graston technique for treating soft tissue injuries. Some conditions we can treat include:-
- Tennis/golfers elbow
- Knee injuries
